Faitmayaf Children Welcomed Habema's Marching Lesson With Enthusiasm

Aifat Maybrat, SABTANEWS.COM – One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 501/Bajra Yudha Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in Maybrat Regency, Papua Barat Daya Province. On Tuesday, 12 November 2024, the 501 Task Forces Patrol Team, led by Second Lieutenant Puji Handoko, conducted a marching lesson with the children of Faitmayaf Village, Aifat District.

The Commander of 501 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Yakhya Wisnu Arianto, has emphasized to his Soldiers that regional security activities, helping people in need and inclusive communication with all parties in the task area must be done during the Mobile Security Operation. Based on the emphasis, 2LT Puji led his Team to conduct a marching lesson after a week earlier communicating and coordinating with the teachers of the Aifat Elementary School. The Faitmayaf children learned about the Marching Lesson from the 501 Task Forces during the lesson. Also present at the occasion was one of the teachers from Aifat Elementary School, Mrs. Maria Siraja. Before the activity began, 2LT Puji expressed his gratitude for the enthusiasm of the teacher and Faitmayaf children who had attended the lesson. With great enthusiasm and joy, the participants listened, paid attention, followed, and imitated every direction and marching movement exemplified by the Soldiers. After the activity, one of the children, Roni Fatemyo, said, "Thank you, Soldiers, we are happy to learn marching."

Upon receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, acknowledged the 501 Task Forces’ initiative to train marching lessons at the Aifat Elementary School. His words: 'The 501 Task Forces' initiative is a shining example of TNI inclusive social communication with all parties to support accelerating development in the Papua region.' This acknowledgment from the highest authority in HABEMA underscores the significant impact of such initiatives on the region's development, instilling a sense of progress and hope about their potential to positively shape the region's future. It makes the Task Forces and the community feel recognized and appreciated for their efforts.
